September 2025 – NIHL Laidler Division: Sutton Sting 12 – Deeside
Dragons D2 5
The Dragons D2 team had a difficult away game on Saturday, losing out
12-5 to Sutton Sting at ice Sheffield.
The Sting are one of the favourites for the Laidler Division title this
season, so this trip was always likely to be a tough one,
The Dragons trailed 4-1 at the end of the first period, with the sole
Deeside strike coming from James Parsons.
The inspirational player coach added two more goals in the second period
for his hat-trick but Sutton scored 3 more themselves to lead 7-3 at the second
interval.
The hosts hit 5 more goals in the final period but strikes from Liam
Yarwood and Cameron Kushnirenko served to give the score a bit more respectability
from a Deeside point of view.
