Moralee Conference Weekend Round Up - 13th & 14th December

Solway Sharks are second the table following a 15-1 demolition of Manchester Minotaurs on Saturday evening in which they outshot their guests 70 to 14.

The game was effectively over as a contest by the end of the first period when Sharks were already leading 9-0 and during which time the Minotaurs were only able to muster two shots on goal. New Zealander John Hay was top scorer for the Sharks with 3+3.  Lee Pollitt scored the Minotaurs' only goal to deprive Solway of their first shut out of the season.

Billingham Stars missed out on the chance to retake second spot on Sunday night when they drew 1-1 away at Whitley Warriors in the first North East derby of the season.

League leaders Blackburn Hawks are 5 points clear of the Sharks, having played one game less. They lost 7-1 away at Peterborough Phantoms EPL on Sunday night in the ECCN.
