The Widnes Wild Junior Academy teams played two games on Saturday. The Under 16 team lost 7-2 away to Sutton while the Under 18s won 3-4 away to Manchester.
The home games that had been scheduled for Sunday – a 4 team “cross-ice” tournament featuring the Under 10s and the Under 14s against Leeds - were both postponed following news of the death of Nottingham Panthers Elite League player Adam Johnson.
The Wild Junior Academy have two home games this Saturday 4th November at Planet Ice Widnes. The Under 16 team take on Billingham U16s in a 4.20pm face off game and the Under 18B team face Grimsby U18s straight afterwards.
Admission is free for all spectators to Wild Academy home games at Planet Ice Widnes and fans are encouraged to go along and support the stars of the future.
