Ducks
player Ben Roscoe has been handed a 2-game suspension by the governing body’s
Department of Player Safety (DOPS) after being banished from last Sunday’s home
game against Telford for an illegal check to the head.
The disciplinary panel observed: “The
player recklessly endangered his opponent. This was an unnecessary check on a
player who was in a vulnerable position and unaware of the impending hit.”
Another
Ducks player, Thomas Milnes, previously received a 1-game ban for kicking out
at an opponent who had legally checked him in the away game at Telford two
weeks earlier.
