Emma previously
played for the Wild Women in their debut 2015/16 Women’s Premier League season
in 2015/16 and also the 2016/17 season.
Prior to
that she had been the all-time highest appearance holder with the Deeside–based
Flintshire Furies – with 111 appearances over 8 seasons –during which time they
reached the Division 1 North playoffs twice, won promotion and played three
seasons in the WPL.
She also
played 2 seasons with the Manchester Phoenix women’s team, making 32 appearances
and winning the league and playoffs in 2014/15.
More
recently Emma has been Player Coach of the Deeside–based Connah’s Quay Cobras
recreational team, who have won a number of trophies at summer tournaments.
Talking about
her return to the Widnes team, Dutton said:
“Some of
the best hockey I’ve played was with the Wild Ladies. Given the structure and
supportive environment at the club, and after a string of injuries, it feels
like the right place for me.”
