The Deeside Dragons Player of the Month for
December has been announced as Ross Kennedy
The popular forward played in all 4 Dragons games
during the month of December, scoring 6 goals – in two consecutive hat-tricks
at home to Billingham and away to Leeds - and contributing 8 assists, while
sitting out just 6 minutes in penalties.
Kennedy is currently the second highest points
scorer on the Dragons squad in the Moralee Division at 22 goals and 34 assists
overall although his tally of 56 is quite a way behind points leader Jake
Witkowski who has 84.
Dragons’ Head Coach Mike Clancy said of
Kennedy - who is also an Assistant Captain this season: “Ross has really found his feet
contributing to the team with leadership and a great points tally.”
The Player of the Month award is organised by
Dragons D1 and D2 press reporter Paul Breeze and the trophies are sponsored by
the Ice Hockey Review grassroots news website.
