Event organiser John Butler has said that the inaugural Laidler Conference playoffs will still be taking place as planned at Solihull over the Easter Weekend.
He said "Over £500 worth of tickets have already been sold and we have sponsors in place for all Man of the Match awards. The recent Barons match v Coventry attracted an attendance of 846. If we can get those sort of numbers for the three play off matches, the participating teams could receive up to £2000 each under the profit sharing arrangement."
It is anticipated that the team that finishes 5th in the league will now be invited to take part in the playoffs instead of Deeside which could give Hull Jets, Widnes Wild or maybe Sheffield Senators a chance of qualifying.
If that doesn't work out, there is also the option of holding a round robin tournament between the three remaining teams.
More news will be posted here as it is announced.
