The Deeside D2 Dragons team have added two more games to their pre-season schedule
as they prepare for the 2026/27 Laidler Division campaign.
They
have announced that they will be playing Lee Valley Lions on Saturday 22nd
August at Deeside Leisure Centre, 5.15 pm face off, and the Bradford Bulldogs
away in West Yorkshire the next day.
The
Lions play in NIHL South Division 2 and finished bottom of 12 teams in the
league last season.
It
will be an interesting game as teams from NIHL North and South very rarely play
against each other and it will be a first opportunity for fans to see the
new-look D2 Dragons team in action.
Deeside
have enjoyed a number of close and entertaining games against the Bulldogs over
the past two seasons and the away game on the Sunday will be a good test of the
two teams’ relative strengths before they cross swords again in the Laidler
Division again.
The
Dragons development side have another game against D2 South opposition – Milton
Keynes Thunder – the following Sunday 30th August at Deeside Leisure
Centre. Face off for that game is also 5.15pm.
