Deeside Dragons Sign New Import

The Deeside Dragons have added a forward import to the roster for the remainder of the season.

Tomas Mitrik - a 26 year forward from Slovakia - has completed the registration process and will be available for selection for this weekend’s game against Telford.

Tomas has been training with the Dragons for a month or so now and head coach Steve Fellows has been keeping an eye on his progress and has decided to give the lad a chance for the rest of the season.

Fellows said: "He is a big addition for us as he is a fast, attacking skater who will score goals for us and give us a big lift. He’ll also help give us some depth which we have sorely been missing. We haven’t played with an import this season and that has been a factor in a few games this season. We've lacked a bit of a cutting edge."

Tomas has been playing in the Rec league for the last couple of seasons and hopefully can make the transition to the next level.

The player said that he is looking forward to the challenge and hopefully can bring something to the team for the rest of the season and future season if all goes well.
