Moralee Conference Round Up - Weekend of 19th & 20th December 2015

Blackburn Hawks returned to the top of the table after a three point weekend that saw them beat Billingham Stars at home and then get a draw away at Whitley Warriors.

They saw off the Stars 5-2 at home on the Saturday night and then travelled back from the North East with a 4-4 draw having snatched an equaliser in the very last minute.

Those results leave the Hawks 1 point clear at the top of the table having played two games fewer than Whitley – who they play again at home in early January.

Solihull Barons moved head of their west Midlands rivals Telford Tigers into 3rd place following a 9-4 win at home to Sutton Sting.  The Barons are 1 point ahead of the Tigers having played the same number of games.

The other Moralee games of the weekend saw Sheffield Spartans and Sheffield Senators meet “home and away” at iceSheffield.  The Spartans won 3-7 away and 10-2 at home leaving the Senators rock bottom of the table without a single point from their 17 games to date.
