The Deeside D2 Dragons picked up their first ever
shut out with a 5-0 victory over Billingham Buccaneers at Deeside Leisure
Centre on Sunday.
James Shaw gave the Dragons the lead on 3 minutes
and Deeside netminder Finn Ogden saved a penalty shot on 13 minutes to leave
the score standing at 1-0 at the first period break.
Shaw fired in 3 more unanswered goals in the second
period and James Parsons rounded off the scoring with the only goal of the
third.
Ogden put in an impressive display in the Deeside
goal to register a 22-shot shut out and Ben Roscoe was named MVP for the
Dragons.
The Deeside D2 Dragons play their last game of the
regular season this Sunday 22nd March when they take on Bradford
Bulldogs at Deeside Leisure Centre, 5.15pm face off.
