Deeside D1 Dragons Head Coach Mike Clancy is pleased with how the team’s season has gone so far.

He said:

“The Deeside Dragons have made a positive and encouraging start to the season, with performances reflecting the team’s depth, growing cohesion, commitment, and competitive edge.”

“As the campaign has progressed, the Dragons have shown clear development on the ice, combining energy, discipline, and resilience in a series of competitive outings. The squad continues to build confidence, with players responding well to the demands of the season and demonstrating strong work ethic and unity whilst pushing to hit our season’s goals.”

“Off the ice, the club remains focused on its long-term development, maintaining strong connections with supporters, Local Businesses, and the local community. The backing from fans can’t go unnoticed and has been a vital factor as the Dragons push forward and look to build consistency in the weeks ahead.”

“With a strong foundation now in place and a clear pathway between Dragons 1 & 2 the Deeside Dragons are focused on continued improvement and taking the next steps as the season unfolds in cup and playoffs.”

The Dragons end the calendar year in fourth place in the Moralee Division table, having briefly occupied second spot before being overtaken by Solihull Barons and Telford Tigers in the latest round of matches.

Following the festive break, they will be back in action on Sunday 4th January when they take on Nottingham Lions at Deeside Leisure Centre. The game has a later than usual face off time of 7pm.
