The Sting end up on 31 points for the season - the same as 4th place Whitley Warriors - but they finish in 5th place due to results between the two teams.
On Saturday night, Solway Sharks booked their place in the final of the Northern Cup with a 4-3 win over Blackburn Hawks in their last group game. Sharks will play Sutton Sting in a two leg final.
On Sunday night, Blackburn Hawks played a challenge match against the Royal Navy Kings (in photo). The scoreline was rather one-sided - ending up 20-4 in favour of the hosts - but the game was played penalty-free and everybody was impressed by the sportsmanship showed throughout by the Royal Navy team.
