The 2026 British Para Ice Hockey League season got under way at the weekend with Manchester Mayhem beating Cardiff Huskies 2-0 in a highly entertaining and closely fought match.
The only goals in
the game came in the first period, courtesy of Mark Colquitt and Anthony Booth,
and Mayhem netminder Dan Hartshorn picked up a 13-shot shut-out.
There are no BPIHL
games this coming weekend but the Saturday after – 30th May - sees
Cardiff and Manchester play the return game down in the Welsh capital (6.30pm face
off) and Sheffield Steelstings and Peterborough Phantoms meet in their first
game of the season at ice Sheffield (6.20pm start).
