Dragons senior players Matty Barlow, Rhys Edwards and Damarni James took
part in a charity match at Bradford in aid of Blood Cancer UK.
The game was part
of Bradford Ice Rink’s 60th anniversary celebrations and featured a number of current
and former Bulldogs players.
All three
players learned their early hockey at Bradford – who have a highly respected
junior development programme – and also played for the Bulldogs in the Laidler
Division.
The game was
played in front of a capacity crowd and a number of Deeside fans travelled to
support the event and cheer on their Dragons heroes.
Damarni’s
“White” team beat Matty and Rhys’ “Blue” team 11-8 but more important was the
fact that over £2.000 was raised for the charity - and a good time was had by
all.
You can see
lots of great photos from the match - and also a link to a video of the whole game
