Lowndes
is a former Deeside Dragons junior player and also had spells with Trafford,
Manchester Storm, and Widnes academies.
He
made his NIHL debut with the Altrincham Aces in the Laidler Division back in
the 2018/19 season while still an Under 18 player and has since played senior
league hockey with Bradford Bulldogs and Widnes Wild.
Jake
has some 75 senior NIHL games under his belt and brings a wealth of experience
to the Dragons development team for the new season.
Talking
about Lowndes’ return to the Den, D2 Dragons Player/Coach James Parsons said:
“We are delighted to welcome Jake back
to Deeside. He is a goalie with plenty of senior experience who understands
what this club is about. We’re looking forward to working with him this season
and seeing him continue to develop while helping strengthen our squad.”
“Bringing
experience from both NIHL1 and NIHL2, Jake adds quality, composure and healthy
competition to our goaltending group as we continue to build for the new
season.”
