Sheffield Steelkings moved clear at the top of the British Para Ice Hockey League table after a 10-0 victory over second place Manchester Mayhem at iceSheffield on Saturday.
Gary Farmer scored five
goals, Daniel Clarke got three and the other two came from Max Phillips-Brant
and Ben O’Brien. Netminding pair Jonathan Gill and Damien Barker shared duties in
the Steelkings goal for a 5-shot shut out.
The Steelkings now have
a 2 point lead at the top of the league table with the Mayhem and Cardiff Huskies
behind them, separated by head to head results.
This coming Saturday – 4th July - sees the Sheffield development
team – the Steelstings - play their second game of the season at home to the Manchester
Mayhem in Sheffield, 6.20pm face off.
