Following a well-earned break, the Widnes Wild women’s team resume their training in August in preparation for the 2024/25 WNIHL season.
In a repeat of years of last year’s successful event, the club are again organising a 3 on 3 draft tournament – to be played during their Tuesday evening training sessions over four weeks starting 6th August.
Players are required to be 14+ years of age, have full kit and some hockey experience, preferably at WNIHL Division 2 or Development player standard. They do not have to be Widnes players but do need to be EIH registered.
The cost for taking part in the tournament is £50 per player, which covers all 4 sessions.
As well as running the tournament, the Wild Women are recruiting for their league and development teams for the 2024/25 season and would be particularly happy to hear from any players with league or international experience.
