Moralee Conference Round Up - Weekend of 5th & 6th December 2015

Blackburn Hawks lost their first league game in almost 2 years with a 4-2 defeat away at Moralee Conference leaders Whitley Warriors. The Hawks are now five points behind in second place but have 4 games in hand over the Warriors. The two teams play each three more times in the next 4 weeks.

Third place Telford Tigers saw their game away at Solway Sharks called off at the last minute after the match officials failed to arrive due to road closures and flooding. An attempt to secure local officials to ensure that the game could go ahead was unsuccessful so the Tigers made the long journey home again without setting foot on the ice.

4th place Solihull Barons closed the gap on Telford with their 6-2 win at home to Sutton Sting and are just 1 point behind having played the same number of games.

The other Moralee game of the weekend saw Billingham Stars move back up into 5th place after an 11-4 win over bottom club Sheffield Senators.
