Despite being heavily outshot throughout the game, the
Warriors were actually leading 1-3 at the end of the first period and the Hawk’s
GWG only in the 57th minute courtesy of Canadian import RJ Berra. Hawks
are now 9 points ahead of the Warriors – who have one game in hand.
Billingham Stars potentially moved themselves to within
spitting distance of a play off place with a 4-6 win away at Solihull Barons on
Sunday evening. Three goals from Swedish
import Dennis Bostrom helped gain the points that now move the Stars to within
3 points of the 4th place Barons with two games in hand.
Telford Tigers who are in 3rd
place on the same points as the Barons were beaten 4-2 away at Sutton Sting which
means that just 3 points separate the 4 teams in the chasing pack behind the
top two.
IN the other Moralee game of the weekend, Solway Sharks beat
Sheffield Senators 14-0 in Dumfries on Saturday night.
