The
Deeside Ducks have announced the signing of George Spofforth to add to their
roster for their debut 2024/25 Laidler Division season.
The
22 year old defenceman is a former Dragons Under 18 player and has most recently
been playing for the Chester Road Reapers recreational team.
Talking
about joining the Ducks, George said:
“I
have played hockey since U18s but it was cut short due to Covid. I went on to
play a year at Widnes and a year of rec but I’m now ready to get back to League.”
Commenting
on Spofforth’s signing, Ducks’ Lead Coach Peter Bleackley said:
“George
is a product of our junior club. He is always hard working and a good skater
and penalty killer. I am looking forward to working with him this season.”
