The Deeside Ducks have announced the signing of Rory Sillery to add to their roster for their debut 2024/25 Laidler Division season.
The
19 year old defenceman is a former Widnes junior academy player and has
recently been playing for the Widnes-based Riverside Raiders recreational
team.
Talking
about joining the Ducks, Rory said:
“I
am honoured to get the opportunity to train and play alongside everyone. I feel that it is going to be a good season and
I can’t wait to see where it goes.”
Deeside Juniors Head Coach James
Parsons said of Sillery:
“Rory wasn’t able to make it to our
trials in June, but he jumped in with us for a session and fit right in with
the team. Rory has a great work rate and can play both forward and defence,
which will be a massive help for the team this season. He is another player who
has joined us with a great attitude and the drive to transition to league
hockey. Welcome, Rory!”
