The Deeside Ducks have announced the signing of Kieran Clarkson as part of their roster for the new NIHL season.

The 22 year old defenceman is a former Deeside and Manchester junior and has also played 4 seasons of Laidler Division hockey for Altrincham Aces and Bradford Bulldogs.

In that time he has made some 70 competitive appearances at NIHL level and has most recently been playing for the Connah’s Quay Cobras recreational team.

Ducks Lead Coach Peter Bleackley said of Clarkson:

“Kieran started his hockey at Deeside and moved to Manchester. We have watched his career with interest and he was on our wanted list as soon as the D2 team was in its early stages. A solid player with a cool attitude, we are really glad for him to be playing at Deeside again.”

Talking about joining the Ducks, Kieran said: “I’m so glad to be back where it all started.  I’m looking forward to the new season and can’t wait to hit the ice with the team.”
