The Widnes Wild Junior Academy had a mixed weekend with two wins and one defeat from the three games that were played across the age groups.
The Wild Academy Under 18A team beat Hull U18s 4-2 on Saturday at Planet Ice Widnes and the Under 14s won 0-8 away to Sheffield the same day. On Sunday, the Wild Academy Under 18B team narrowly lost 6-5 away to Billingham U18s.
This weekend sees the Academy Under 18A team away to Leeds on Saturday – 7.30pm face off – and the Under 14s away to Coventry on Sunday, 4pm start.
The next Wild Academy home games are on Saturday 2nd March at Planet Ice Widnes when the Widnes Under 16 and Under 18B teams take on their counterparts from Solihull at Planet Ice Widnes, with the action starting at 4.20pm.
Admission is free for all spectators to Wild Academy home games at Planet Ice Widnes and fans are encouraged to go along and support the stars of the future.
