Laidler Conference Weekend Summary - 25th & 26th October

In the Laidler Conference, the Solihull Barons remain 4 points clear at the top of the table despite not having to hit a puck at the weekend. Second place Sheffield Senators maintained their position with a 9-5 win over Hull Jets and closed up to 4 points behind the Barons, albeit having played more games.

The team of the weekend would have to be Telford Tigers who picked up 4 points to pull to within 2 points of the Senators but with 4 games in hand.  They had a close call away at bottom club Bradford Bulldogs who held them to a mere 6-9 victory – the highest number of goals the Bulldogs have actually  scored in a game to date – and then won 4-3 away at Deeside Dragons on Sunday.

The other Laidler games saw Nottingham Lions beat Coventry Blaze 10-3 for just their 3rd win in 9 games this season and Widnes Wild won 13-3 away at Bradford on Sunday to notch up their highest winning margin to date.
