The Widnes Wild Junior Academy held their end of season awards night and the following accolades were bestowed for the 2022/23 season: Under 18s

The full club special awards – presented in memory of sadly departed individuals who had a special influence at the Wild club were:
Vernon Neil Hardworker Award (U10s/U12s) - Poppy Ward
Jon Little Recognition Award (U14s, U16s & U18s) - Sam Daintith
Paul O’Prey Award (Full Club) - Jake Meehan.
The various Wild junior teams have enjoyed their most successful season to date, with the Under 12 team winning their league title for the first time and both the Under 14s and Under 16s finishing second in their respective divisions. A number of Wild players were selected for the prestigious end of season Showcase weekend tournament and 5 Widnes youngsters also gained international honours.
The Wild Academy are always keen to recruit new players across all age groups from Under 10 to Under 18 and are holding training sessions throughout the summer months at the Planet Ice rink in preparation for the new season.
