The Widnes Wild Junior Academy had a mixed weekend with one win and two defeats from the three games played across the age groups.
The Wild Academy Under 16 team won 4-7 away at Deeside on Saturday while the Under 18A team lost 0-4 at home to Manchester. On Sunday, the Under 18B team lost 10-2 away to Leeds U18s.
This weekend sees the Wild Under 14 team away in Solihull on Saturday 16th March and the Under 18B team away in Grimsby the same day. Also on Saturday, the Academy Under 10 team play in a 4-team cross-ice tournament away at Deeside – 4.35pm start.
The next home action for the Wild Academy teams is on Saturday 23rd March when the Under16s and Under 18B team take on their counterparts from Coventry at Planet Ice Widnes – starting from 4.20pm.
Admission is free for all spectators to Wild Academy home games at Planet Ice Widnes and fans are encouraged to go along and support the stars of the future.
