Cardiff Huskies remain top of the BPIHL table after the weekend’s games by virtue of their 2-6 win away to Manchester Mayhem on Saturday.
Tyler Christopher
scored a hat-trick, Josh Davies 2 and Jon Le Galloudec got the other one to secure
the points, while the two Mayhem strikes came from Karl Nicholson.
The Peterborough
Phantoms had a mixed weekend. They trounced
Sheffield Steelstings 11-0 at home on Saturday with Gary Farmer scoring 6
goals, Callum Shakespeare and Stacey Quirk 2 each and one for D-Jay Hall.
On Sunday they
travelled to iceSheffield to face the Sheffield A team - the Steelkings - and
were shut out 3-0. The Kings goals came from Matt Clarkson, Jake Oakley and
John Plummer.
So, Cardiff still
lead the British Para Ice Hockey League table with 4 wins from their 7 games to
date but Sheffield Steelkings are just one point behind, with the league’s only
unbeaten record - and 3 games in hand.
Peterborough leapfrog
the Mayhem into 3rd place in the table – with 6 and 4 points
respectively - and the Sheffield development side remain bottom with 5 losses
from their 5 games.
