Moralee Conference Weekend Round up - 20th & 21st September

Billingham Stars are the new leaders of the Moralee Conference after their 2-6 win away at Manchester Minotaurs on Saturday evening. The Stars have three wins from their first three games and are now two points ahead of Blackburn Hawks who didn’t play at the weekend.

Defending champions Solway Sharks have yet to play a league game this season but they were in ECCN cup action on Saturday night away at EPL side Telford Tigers.  A weakened Sharks side were mauled 13-1 by the Tigers – who went on to win 2-5 away at Billingham Stars on Sunday night.   The EPL Tigers top the ECCN cup group at this early stage with 3 wins from 3 games but there is still a long way to go.
