Blackburn Hawks took a step closer to securing the runners up position in the Moralee Conference with an 8-1 win over bottom team Telford Titans.They now have a 3 point lead over 3rd place Billingham Stars although they have now played one game more.
A win for the Hawks away at Whitley Warriors tomorrow night (Sunday) will confirm Blackburn's place in the end of season play offs.

In the NIHL North cup, Solway Sharks had to come from 2-0 down to beat Manchester Minotaurs
14-2. Sharks now join Sutton Sting in the group table on 8 points from 6 games played. Blackburn Hawks lead the table with 10 points from 7 games.
Once the group games have been completed, the top two teams in the group will meet home and away in a two legged Cup final.
