The Widnes Wild Academy junior teams had a mixed weekend, winning one and losing two of the three games that were played across the age groups.
The Academy Under 16 team beat Sutton U16s 8-5 at Planet Ice Widnes on Saturday while the Under 18A team lost 0-12 to Sheffield U18s straight afterwards. On Sunday the Under 14 team lost at home 6-7 to Hull U14s.
Also on Sunday, the Wild Academy Under 10 team took part in a 4 team cross ice tournament away at Altrincham where they took on the home side as well as teams from Deeside and Blackburn. Cross ice games are played purely for fun and no match scores or player stats recorded.
This weekend sees the Wild Academy U18s away to Telford on Saturday 27th April – 7pm face off. The Under 16s are away to Manchester on Sunday, 3.45pm face off and the Under 18B team away to Deeside (4.35pm).
