The Widnes Wild Academy junior teams had a mixed weekend, winning one, drawing one and losing two of the four games that were played across the age groups.
The Under 18A team won 2-3 away to Telford on Saturday while the Under 16s drew 3-3 away to Deeside. The Under 18B team lost 8-6 away to Deeside on Sunday and the U16s lost 9-2 away to Manchester.
This weekend sees the Wild Academy U16s at home to Leeds on Saturday 4th May at Planet Ice Widnes – 4.20pm face off - and the Under 18B team at home to Leeds straight afterwards. The Under 10s have a 4 team cross ice tournament at home on Sunday starting at 4.15pm, with the Under 18B team at home to Sutton at 5.45pm. The Academy Under 12 team travel to play Coventry on Sunday.
Admission is free for all spectators to Wild Academy home games at Planet Ice Widnes and fans are encouraged to go along and support the stars of the future.
