South 2: Special Guests At Haringey Racers Match

London Haringey Racers were delighted to welcome 2 special guests to the game against Invicta on Sunday..

From the world of Ice Hockey we were privileged to have in attendance from the Wembley Lions team of 1950′s and 1960′s, Reg ‘Red’ Devereaux. Red was very interested in the British set up and was impressed by the standard of hockey he witnessed.

The other guest was Nitin Ganatra, better known to many as ‘Masood’ from BBC’s Eastenders.

Nitin was attending his first ever hockey game, and expressed his enjoyment “I’m definitely coming again”, he said. Nitin performed a ceremonial puck drop before the game, and presented the Man of the Match awards at the end.

He thoroughly enjoyed his first-ever hockey experience, and promised to try to encourage some other cast members to attend future games.
