South 1 Weekend Round Up - 17th & 18th January

Invicta Dynamos and Chelmsford Chieftains are now level on points at the top of the table after Chelmsford picked up four points beating Cardiff 9-1 at home on Saturday and winning 4-10 away at Solent on Sunday.

The Dynamos came unstuck 6-4 away at Solent on Saturday but a 5-1 win at home to Wightlink Raiders on Sunday means that they keep their noses in front in the title race just for now  on goal difference.  The Chieftains have 3 games in hand and play the Dynamos twice more this season.

3rd place Bracknell Hornets took 3 points over the weekend with a 4-4 draw at home to Milton Keynes Thunder on Saturday and a 0-5 win away against the same opposition on Sunday.

London raider beat Streatham Redskins 6-3 at home on Saturday night and almost repeated the feat away on Sunday. They were 0-5 up after 31 minutes but were then pegged back by a resurgent Redskins who hit six to take the points.

Raiders new signing Slovakian Jakub Kostelansky hit 4 +3 over  the two games.

In the bottom of the table clash, Cardiff Devils beat Oxford City Stars 7-6 and move above them off bottom spot. Both teams have the same number of points but Cardiff have two games in hand.
