Laidler Conference Weekend Round Up - 27th & 28th December

The Telford Tigers v Coventry Blaze fixture on Saturday evening was cancelled after Blaze were unable to ice a full team.  Assuming that the EIHA decide to award the game 5-0 to Tigers - as is usual in such circumstances - that would means that Telford take over in second place ahead of Sheffield Senators with the same number of points but a superior goal difference.

The Blaze were back in action on Sunday and took a 3-1 lead at home to Deeside Dragons before being pegged back to a 3-3 draw. The Dragons outshot the hosts 34-45 and scored twice in the last 5 minutes to salvage a point.

In the bottom of the table clash, Hull Jets beat Bradford Bulldogs 7-1 - although as the shots on gaol were 43-45., the game must have seemed a lot closer than that.

Solihull Barons were without a game and remain top of the table with 30 points - 10 points clear of the chasing Tigers and Senators.
