Invicta Dynamos overtook Chelmsford Chieftains at the top of the table with a 4 point weekend following wins away at bottom club London Raider (4-11) and at home to Chelmsford 6-2 - in game that also counted towards the ECCS.
Dynamos top the table for Christmas with a three point advantage over last season's quadruple winners, having inflicted their first league defeat of the season. The Chieftains, however, have 3 games in hand.
Bracknell Hornets also had a 4 point weekend to lift them up into 3rd place. They notched up back to back wins over Cardiff Devils, winning 2-6 away before shutting them out 5-0 at home.
Wightlink Raiders return to form continues with a 4-2 win over Solent Devils in the Solent derby followed by a 2-2 draw away at Milton Keynes Thunder.
In the other league game of the weekend, Solent picked up a 4-6 win away at second bottom club Oxford City Stars.
Streatham Redskins were not in league action and drop down to 4th place but they confirmed their berth in the semi finals of the South 1 Cup by beating London Raiders 7-2 to finish second in the group behind Invicta.
